This is a brand new, dual display, 1/4 DIN (96 x 96 mm or 3.78”x3.78”) full featured industrial grade temperature/process controller. It uses the latest fuzzy logic enhanced PID control scheme that significantly reduces the temperature overshoot for some slow response systems. The 1/4 DIN size of this controller is the same size as some old analog temperature controller made by Honeywell and Fenwal. For many electricians, the economic price of this controller makes it a preferred choice for replacing those old analog controllers. The digital PID control offers more precise control to the temperature than the analog on/off type controller does. Another advantage of this controller is that dual alarm outputs are a standard option with no extra cost. It is not only useful for driving sirens but also useful for interlocking other equipment. For example, if you want another piece of equipment to be turned on once the temperature reaches a set point, using the alarm output will yield better results than using an additional controller.

Features:

  • PID control with fuzzy logic enhancement
  • Dual alarm outputs is made standard at no extra charge
  • 0.2% accuracy over the entire input range
  • Supports 17 different types of input devices that can be set by the user from keypad
  • Displays in either Fahrenheit or Celsius temperature unit
  • Percent output indication
  • Auto/manual control with bump less transfer
  • Selectable security access levels
  • High brightness large LED display that can be easily read from distance.
  • Instruction manual and US technical support
  • 6-month limited warranty. See details here

Output Configurations:

The controller offers two different output configurations. One has a built-in relay for driving an external electromechanical relay, contactor, AC triggered SSR, or mercury relay. It can also handle 1200 watts of load directly without using an external relay. The other has a 12 VDC output for driving an external DC triggered SSR. The output configuration can not be changed by the user and must be set at factory. Please select the correct output configuration at the bottom of this page.

Ramp/Soak Option:

The ramp/soak option is available for $32 extra. Up to 30 steps can be programmed to: a) ramp the temperature up or down at controlled rate, b) maintain the temperature for a specific period time, c) turn on/off the relays (alarm relay) after the process reaches a specific step, d) jump (for loops), run, hold and stop after process reaches a specific step. The manual control function is not available when ramp/soak option is selected. A common application for this option is controlling the temperature of glass kilns or heat treatment ovens. This option can be ordered from the top of this page.
